Daly dodges trouble - for a day at least
BY TOM BERRY
Where do you start with John Daly? Do you begin with his 85-pound weight loss over the last few months? His withdrawal from the PGA Championship last week following consecutive double-bogeys, citing a back injury? His recent admission that he has never been more frustrated about his game?
Or do you go back to almost a year ago, when he was jailed after being found in a drunken stupor outside a Hooters Restaurant in Winston-Salem and suspended by the PGA Tour for six months? Do you dare bring up his four marriages, his decades of alcohol abuse, his gambling problems?
None of the above.
