Reynolds wraps up Bison
BY STEVE HANF
With the Simeon Stadium crowd still buzzing over the awakening of the High Point Central offense, Jake Gainey reminded everyone that not just quarterbacks, running backs and receivers find the end zone.
The R.J. Reynolds speedster raced 92 yards for a kickoff return that proved to be the difference in a 20-7 Demons victory in Friday night's season opener. The return, which saw Gainey race almost unimpeded before a Bison defender made him tightrope the sideline and execute a nifty move to stay in bounds, followed Central's only sustained drive of the night and killed the Bison momentum.
